Wet wet wet
Last night was the first time in a long long while that I slept under a duvet AND a blanket! Winter in Sydney right now resembles summer in New Zealand: wet and cold! But I am here at last; arrived yesterday safe and sound after only a small delay. I must say it is lovely to be in a really big city again, with all the sounds, excitements and luxuries (food!) that come with it, although I am sure I must get bored of it at some stage. Let's hope not before I leave! Haven't done any touristy stuff yet, just a lot of walking around in the rain in my sandals trying to buy a new pair of hiking boots since I gave away my old ones in Vanuatu. Being in an environment where lots of stuff is for sale, automatically leads to spending, it seems. Alarmingly so much so, that I decided to try and keep track of money going out. A first. There you are: been traveling for only two days and already I am growing as a person...

99.50 hiking shoes (bargain: sale)
